Does it get any better than hearing the waves crash against the shore while you sleep at night?! I don't think so! We fell in love with this small community outside of LA while we were on an assignment in LA and joked about how it would be our dream to do an assignment here. A couple assignments later...wah la! We shelled out the extra bucks to live ON The Strand, beach front...and it was so worth it. We were only there for a month but are planning to go back again very soon. Such a peaceful little community with fun people, and chill vibe, and beautiful views. Our favorite thing about this beach compared to many others is that it is VERY CLEAN and well maintained. The houses are nice and well kept and you don't feel like you might get hepatitis if you walk in the sand like you do at say Venice Beach. (No offense Venice...we love you...but would not want to live there). That place was truly incredible!!!

Our first assignment was in Los Angeles. Talk about jumping in both feet first! It was a bit overwhelming at first, but started feeling like home almost immediately! We LOVE this city and all that it has to offer. There is just so much to do all the time and the weather is fabulous! The best advice I can give for LA is to just accept that the traffic is bad...there is no sense in letting it get to you. Just always give yourself an hour to get where you're going and you will be fine. It's the price you have to pay for all of the great things the city has to offer.
