I was told 2 weeks after everything is received.  I just mailed my application today, I'll let you know when I receive the license.

So, we are at 5 weeks now and yet no license.  Turns out if you have anything faxed to the NM licensing board you should check up on it.  More specifically, have someone there look for it immediately after it is sent.  The fax machine is not in the same location as the people processing your stuff.  All of my mailed info was received, but nothing that was faxed.  As of yesterday, I was told that everything was received and should take 3 days to process.  I will let you know when it is in my hand.

I am sure I am a bit late on this topic, but in case anyone wants to know...

The NM Board can process fairly quickly...biggest hurdle is the verifications from other states.  Thedra is one contact there and Teresa is another.  5 weeks sounds like a long time...but then again I am very aggressive when dealing with licensing boards.

It ended up taking a total of 2.5 months to receive my NM PT license.  I had to call them several times to "expedite" the process.  I admit that I was not as diligent as I often am since I took a job in WA while I was waiting for it.

Sorry to hear that Colleen! If you ever need help or ideas on licenses and dealing with Boards...shoot me an email.  At one time I have probably worked with about 40-45 of them and am fairly well versed in handling these situations.  NM should never take that long, but they do need to be pushed a bit.  Now WA on the other hand is a debacle typically!

Thanks for the offer David.  I keep hearing that WA is a nightmare, but mine took exactly 4 weeks!  Guess I'm luck sometimes.

No problem Colleen...

Not sure how you got WA in 4 weeks with their fingerprints, but hats-off to you!
