How do you know if there are extensive (at least 3 or 4 options) to jog, hike, or walk a dog (preferably off leash)?

Hey Esther. I'm not really sure what to say on this other than: Internet.
I did a quick search on Yahoo and typed in "dog trails" and found a site that posts dog trails worldwide: www.bringfido.com/attraction/trails/
Another search of "live acoutic music portland" (just as an example city), brought up tons of event listings for Portland as well as many live music venues on Yelp: www.yelp.com/search?find_desc=Acoustic+Music+Venues&find_loc=Portland%2C+OR
Go to Google maps and zoom in on your target area and type "coffee shops" or just "coffee" and it will list all the places around the neighborhood. Clicking on those often brings up reviews, menus, or even photos of the place.
A little time on the Internet goes a long way in researching your assignment destination.
