Has anyone ever worked in the Corpus Christi area? When I search jobs in TX for nursing I never seem to get this area. I have family that I would love to visit but cannot seem to get even close to Corpus. Any suggestions?
Hey Kris, Corpus Christi is an amazing place! I grew up in Victoria, TX (about and hour and a half north of Corpus) and we used to visit the beach all the time.
As far as jobs go I always try and get my travelers as close to there ideal location as possible. You can always hold out for that perfect location but you can't guarantee that a need will become available. Sometimes if you hold out to long then all the jobs nearby fill up and I've had nurses that end up taking jobs in completely different areas. The bummer about Texas is that it's a HUGE state, which means the closet job could be pretty far away. Luckily I Corpus isn't too far from some big cities. San Antonio for instance is about a 2 hour drive. I've done it a few time and you end up driving through some pretty nice areas. But this is just one suggestion, I know there are many routes to go.
