I've been thinking about getting one, but I have a laptop and a Kindle already. It seems really cool and awesome for travelling. If you're looking for something portable to replace your PC, I say go for it. :)
I really want one. I thought of getting a reader, but the iPad does all that and so much more. Just haven't quite gotten up to parting with that much money. Now iPad 2 is out the first generation should become much more affordable... Looking for a chance to scoop one up! :-)
I just cannot decide! I have a PC and now I am gonna try out a hand-me-down Kindle....but the Ipad seems like it would be great to travel with!!! MY PC seems SO big and heavy that it is hard to take with me sometimes.....Yeah I wonder if the first Ipad prices are gonna go down now since the IPAD 2.
The prices for the original iPad have been reduced by $100, and you can now buy a refurbished 16GB iPad for $350 from Apple. I suspect though that this will only last until the end of the week when the new version is released.
On a side note, I absolutely love my iPad!!!! I enjoy reading the Wall Street Journal, and now it is downloaded into my iPad daily, which is alot easier than trying to get a home delivery subscription for the short period of time I'm at a location.

I got a Verizon one and haven't looked back since! So convenient! The only thing I don't like is it doesn't allow Java and Adobe media so I can't do some stuff on the road!
