iPhone 4, what do you think?

Posted by etremi on Dec 9, 2011 11:35 am

I've got to get a new smartphone & am leaning toward iPhone 4 (not the Siri version)  What do you think of it?  Ease of use for the tech disadvantaged?

I have an iPhone 4S, but have Siri turned off, she sucks down the battery. I'm pretty techy, but I also had an iPhone 3Gs. I LOVE my 4S. It's so much faster. I didn't realize how much my old phone had slowed down. If you've ever used an iphone, ipad, ipod, etc, you'll enjoy the iphone to no end! Let us know what you decide!

Hello etremi,
I totally agree with egolden. The 4 and 4S are much faster! I'm on Verizon. Liking them so far, but its brand new service. So far so good. Nationwide I've seen good coverage and good coverage inside my home, which is crucial!

I love my iPhone. This is my 3rd or 4th iPhone (I lose track). Last year when we switched from AT&T to Verizon I got an Android (the HTC Thunderbolt) and I hated it!!!! I took it back a few days later and begged them to let me get an iPhone. I was supposed to pay but it took them over an hour to get my phones switched so I didn't have to pay. I am so glad because I love my iPhone. I know people that hate them but for me it just works great. I like the service with Verizon better too. With AT& T we had too much trouble getting service when traveling. My husband was out in Vegas for the electronics show and I had an emergency and I could not contact him. Thankfully a friend/co-worker was with him and I called his phone (Verizon) and got in touch. We switched soon after.

iPhone is the easiest to use. Camera and Video is like point and shoot. I have owned every iPhone that came out except for the iPhone 4Sri. Oh did I spell that right? hehehhehe You are right it does suck the battery dry. But, it would be nice if I could use it to dictate all my notes at the hospital. Anyway, I am waiting now for the next new iPhone whenever it comes out. I was single when I owned all of the others. Now that I am married, I didn't save enough money to go out and switch to Verizon or deal with the ineligibility to upgrade with AT&T. I am still with AT&T and will probably stay with them. When Hurricane Ivan came through in Alabama, everyone used my phone because AT&T was the dominating signal and we could always contact someone with my phone. I stood in my mother's yard and with my brother-in-law's Verizon phone couldn't get a signal at all. Only thing I don't like about AT&T is they were the first company I know that let the government tap our signals. Now it's like common practice.
